if you had one book in your "wtshtf" library. this one should be it. very practical, useful advice, a book worth every penny.
After reading several books on survival, this book is by far the most comprehensive and practical advice I've come across. This is not about creating a 3 day bug out bag or even medium term survival plan. It is about how to survive for the long term and become self-sustaining if you forced to live as they did in the 1800's. The book is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for and although I could do without the scripture quotes (we don't all believe in fairy tales), I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is serious about preparing for and acquiring long term survival skills in case of catastrophe.
This is a must have book for everyone. It is clear, informitive and funny. I bought all 3 of Robert Wayne Atkins books. Dr. David H.
States information that totally makes sense though don't think about as thoroughly yourself necessarily. Though I certainly hope tragedy never strikes, if it does at least I'll be a bit more prepared. Thanks for writing this book!
This book has all sorts of good information in it.. It's easy to read and I got the cook book and loved it too. Great Book!!
Amazing resource of knowledge that in the day you need it, it may well save your life. The cost now will get you a book that may be of great value someday.
I highly recommend this book to everyone that has thought about prepping for any scenario.
Mr. Atkins used an informal voice to write this book that reminds me more of advise from a concerned elder than it does an instructional tome on survival.
You may not agree with every opinion he offers but he makes his case in a forthright and unassuming way that makes me think about prepping from a very practical frame of mind. This is a guide for the average person and doesn't require you to try and emulate a special forces soldier.
